The 30th Kitchen & Bath China (KBC) closed successfully in Shanghai after four days of exhibition. As Asia’s most influential sanitary ware exhibition, this year’s show witnessed obvious market changes. The number of exhibitors continued to shrink compared with historical peaks, while product competition shifted from single sanitary fixtures to systematic whole-bathroom solutions.

Prefabricated integrated bathrooms stood out as a hot topic. Driven by urban renewal, old community renovation and affordable housing projects, modular bathroom units gain growing demand from developers and hotel investors. Compared with traditional wet construction, prefabricated bathrooms shorten construction cycles and reduce on-site waste, matching the national green building policies.

Smart bathroom innovation also entered a new stage. Many brands launched AI smart toilets equipped with non-invasive health monitoring, electrolytic sterilization and whole-house IoT connection functions. Age-friendly bathroom products targeting the elderly market attracted wide attention. Industry representatives called for more policy support for home renovation and age-adapted bathroom upgrading. Organizers announced that the 31st KBC will be held in Shanghai from May 26 to 29, 2027.
